Some exciting news! Our very own Jessica Bracy will be performing at the Tibbits Opera House in Michigan this summer. She’ll first be choreographing for On Broadway 1956, and then playing the character Liz in the beloved musical Chicago.
ABOUT ON BROADWAY 1956
On Broadway 1956 is an original revue about, you guessed it, Broadway in 1956. From the Tibbits website, “The year was 1956 and Broadway looked like it was on fire with exciting, legendary musicals including Pajama Game, Showboat, My Fair Lady, Kismet, The Boy Friend and Fanny. Tibbits third revue, On Broadway 1956 will relive that magical year.”
Written by Fred Ebb, Bob Fosse, and John Kander, Chicago is a tale of corruption, murder, justice, and the concept of the “celebrity criminal.” It takes place in Prohibition-era Chicago and is based on the stories of actual murderesses Beulah Annan and Belva Gaertner. This exciting performance is sure to be a hit at Tibbits, and we’re thrilled that Jessica will be in it.
